With no television, Miranda Weeks of Vienna (pictured with Audrey, 10) likes to use her family room to perform guest before cooking or play games with her family. A set of railings and dual sets of doors, however, make seat sequence difficult. The Weekses wish a cozier seating arrangement that incorporates existent couches, and new flooring and lighting for an updated look.
Designers J. Allen, Monique Farley and Andrea Kavanaugh span pivot chairs and a dining list for a gaming area, with tile flooring that gives a Weekses a neutral substructure to build on with color. Create a friendly seating area in a core of a room with pivot chairs, that can be incited to face a couches or fireplace.
Replace a mantel with an existent vast portrayal to emanate a confidant focal point.
Light tan building tiles yield a neutral backdrop for dim couches.
Blue-gray walls add tone and span good with a neutral floor. Try Benjamin Moore’s Pebble Beach.
Nesting console tables offer space to put down drinks and books and can be tucked divided to save space when not in use.
Replace a roof fan with steel match lights for a complicated look. Hang several, in opposite sizes, over a diversion table.
