IKEA Recalls Floor, Table Lamps Because They Should Light Up A Room, Not You

Last month, IKEA removed several roof lamps since their shades could suddenly fall, ruinous over consumers’ heads. Today, a Swedish seat association announced another lighting recall, this time for flare bases that can startle users. 

IKEA on Thursday recalled all of a GOTHEM building and list lamps after receiving reports of electric startle incidents.

The association didn’t mention only how many lamps are concerned in a recall, though urged business who purchased a lamps to immediately stop regulating them and lapse them to IKEA for a refund.

The remember was instituted after a seat store found that shop-worn cables during production of some units could hit a steel physique of a lamp, posing a startle jeopardy to consumers.

GOTHEM lamps, that come in 49-inch building indication or 14- and 18-inch list variations, were sole in a US stores and online between Oct 2015 and Feb 2016.
